I'd like to thank Hannah, Chris & the rest of the South Cotts club for a great day out,

Slight problems early on threatened to spoil a potentialy great day but the committee ably led my Chris Bishop sorted the problem out and from then on the meeting ran as well as any other run so far this season, which when you consider the club hasn't run an Open meeting for many years (to many) was a great feat.

Well done to everyone concerned and i'm looking forward to the next open later this year.

Go on have a bend. (the offer still stands)

I agree Mark, it was a great day. The Cotswold committee needed help, not people running around moaning and stirring everyone up. I notice that those doing all the moaning, and threatening not to run their dogs, were there to collect them at the finish!

Anyway, the best decision was made for the safety of the dogs, and the committee should be commended for it. I hope Hannah, Chris and the rest of the committee will rethink their decision not to run another open this year, as it ran smoothly once we started. The S Cots croud are always friendly, and welcome all to their club - so well done all - and hopefully we will be back later in the year.

What's all this about not having another open this year? (w00t)

I thought that there was a scratch straight planned for later on. October seems to ring a bell. It would be a great shame if this wasn't to happen.

Anyway in my opinion it takes big people to listen to others and alter their plans. It's oh so easy to stand and shout and be negative without lifting a single finger to help. In the end the racing went very well and I hope that most people had as good a day as I did.

Yes you did have a good day Beejay  Well done Wizard! He won in style.

Thanks June I was just a bit chuffed! :D

Any chance of seeing a photo of your girl modeling her rather nice velvet jacket? She did look very posh.

My favourit bit of the day was when I saw Mr Terry Davies (Cymru) holding a teddy to his heart that had a St Georges flag on it! is he changing camps due to spending to much Time in England at the Opens?

i'm realy looking forward to seeing him next after he reads this :- "

Any results for SC yet?
After spending an exhausting day at SC yesterday poor old Hannah had to go to work really early today. :( Chris, as of course we all know, only has the one good hand the other being very swollen up by last night. So it's either taking him a very long time to type out the results using just the one good finger :- " or we'll have to wait till Hannah is home.

I wonder if anyone got a photo of Terry Davies hugging an English teddy? If they have we could send it in to Whippet News. :p

Terry swore at me and said I was to tell nobody? I think he mentioned castration or death if I did! :( but he never mentioned writing about it  I think the words Fan & sh#t spring to mind?

I spoke to Chris today he said Hannah (yes the lovely Hannah) is going to do a write up later about the open.

I have to say that I (like everyone else) was most impressed by the bike rider. Very polite and friendly. Knew what he was doing and did a great job despite being let down from time to time by the line judges having to be reminded to write the results out for him. Well we are a lot of older and so obviously slower and more forgetful.

His folks must be very proud of him.

Beejay - I think Lee (bike rider) must obviously take after his mother Paula, as there aren't many similarities with his father. What was it you said? - friendly, polite, and doing a good job - not what springs to mind when you think of his Dad! !

Just another thought :- " Perhaps Paula had a good looking milkman all those years ago

June you have said what I was thinking. Well actually I did write something to that effect but I edited it out. :D

Must take after Paula must'n he.

I would like to say a big thankyou to everyone who genuinely helped us out yesterday at South Cotswolds (physically and emotionly) .........and to the people who could do nothing more than moan or bitch, we do know who you are and you are very un welcome to race at our club again, as we can certainly do without people like you

I now feel better after some retail therapy (w00t) and Chris said that he will be doing the October South Cotswold open  .........as he said if we don't get many entries then it'll be easier for our dogs to win  (w00t) (you never know with no one there then i might be able to get Inca to run all the way down the track :- " )

Lee did a great job (as well as others) yesterday and its a shame that some of the so said adults couldn't find it in themselves to dig in and work like him  ...........and i would definatly go with Lee taking after his mum ;)

Just a final thing...........If anyone still owes their entry fee then please send it to Judy Booker, who will tick you off her list .........She knows who you are

Hi All,

Lee's asked me to thank everyone for their kind comments.

Hannah great to see you back on form

Well I thought that after the initial problems the open ran very smoothly indeed. Yes Lee was great too. I became quite scared of him - he ticked me off if he was ready before I was (w00t)

I have to say though that once it all got going I didn't hear a single moan from anyone.

Well what can I say, Mr D has seen K9 and from what he said I think he liked it  although he did mention hit men?

I can't understand why anyone wouldn't like a flag like these  (sorry this)
