Hmmn. The current excuse is that the cat's too ill to cope with it (appealing to my sense of guilt here, knows I have less sympathy on the potentially sick parent angle :angry: )

Funny story - friend and neighbour calls round and says 'my friend's friends got whippet puppies if you're interested, here's the number' - Terry and Sue on a familiar looking number. Then I twig, the Venture coat people Terry and Sue (phone no is the same when I check). Friend says to OH 'this is fate, it's meant to happen' but he just gets really angry and sulky

Is there a charity that rehomes OHs?
