Our beautiful Champion Whippet "Silver " had 10 beautiful baby whippets on Tuesday morning. She is feeding them all herself, and so far all is well. Going to check their gender to night. Dident want to disturb her before now, because she is doing so well on her own.

congratulations; it'd be lovely to see photos etc when you get chance but the main thing is that mum and pups are doing well.

Glad to hear that all went okay with the whelping Margaret and that Mum and babies are all doing well  Looking forward to hearing more about them, colours/sexes etc and hopefully seeing some pics whenever you and more importantly, Silver feel the time is right. :D

Hope :luck: you have a mini Isaac ' Ir Ch. Rushden Moody Blue' in there somewhere ;) I'm sure he'd be a very proud grandad indeed if there was !!! :-

Many thanks to all for your good wishes. Got a little nearer them tonight. They are just beautiful, and Silver is a great but very protective Mum. We have 6 Boys and 4 Girls. Bluebell is coming up to take some photographs in a few days, if Silver will let her, and we will put them up then.

Congratulations.

Silver is one of my favourite whippies on k9 being so like my little Lilly.

I am so glad that Mum & Pups are doing well.

Well done Silver  and best of luck to you all with the babies :luck:

Congratulations to all  . Pics eagerly awaited although I'll get broody all over again as our youngest, Milo, is now 19 months and it seems a long time since we heard the patter of tiny paws.

That's a lot of pups to look after (and later, to find homes for) but it looks like Silver is a great mother. Are you glad you changed your minds about breeding Silver )or that she changed your minds about it)?

Macha, so delighted with Silver and her pups. She is a great Mum. They are 7 days old to morrow. She had 10 pups, but we lost 2, and she is left with 8 and thriving.

Deidre, Many thanks for taking the puppies photographs yesterday, We had a nice day out with you and Patsy yesterday at Armagh City Hotel ,and we really enjoyed it.

Absolutely stunning puppies and what a superb mix of colours

A few mini 'Silvers' in there too.

Red brindled backside pup for me, cannot wait to see the rest of him / her

Silver looks so contented and a wonderful mum.

Congratulations

Lots of brindles of various shades and a few brindle particolours in there Margaret ;) I can see a couple very like their Great Aunty Tia (dark brindle particolurs) Hope Silver and babies continue to thrive :D

Thanks Tracy, they are still under the Infra Ray lamp, so its hard to really see their true colour yet. We will get them taken next week again, when they come out from under the light. We dont want to disturb them to much yet. Silver is such a good mother, she is doing all the rearing on her own. We feed her and keep them clean, warm and comfortable , and she does the rest. What a dog, just gold dust.
