"sent" Items

I'm a bit stuck :b

I selected a message in my inbox and then chose "sent items" on the drop down box and clicked on "Move to"

I expected said message to appear in my sent items box and low and behold I can see (1) next to Sent Items. When I go into my sent items there is a message that says "No Items Found"

:angry: I would like to have this message back, as the contents are important, have I lost it forever, and if so, why would the number one in brackets indicate that it was still there :wacko:

I have done something simillar- I moved 14 items to 'sent', I don't terribly mind about losing them, but they have disappeared, yet are still taking up space in my total number of messages. It was a bit silly of me in retrospect, but I would be very greatful if someone could tell me either how to retrieve them or how to get rid of them for good.
