what are your views on 1st and 2nd through in heats only at all championships??? the BWRA have done this at their championships for quite a while and i personally think it gives people a second chance of getting through , what do you all think.......... ???

yes great idea what happens if your dog misses the lids or slips first time and your only beat by a nose

jojess i think 1st two should go through it makes up a better format as well plus you get a 2nd bite at the cherry, hey lets vote on it lol. maybe we should propose that next year.

:) hi all debs here, i think that two should go through as mutly says your dog could get knocked or anything in one run so i think its fair that two go through. ;) my hubby dont agree with me :b whats new ??? lol

what if the dog that won its heat gets ,slow trap ,knocked ,is it fair on that dog then :b

yes but sometimes if you get a few good dogs in two each and then you get a 4 dog final i think its a lot better watching that kind of race plus it gives some dogs that are not as well known as others that bit of luck to nick a title.

The reason for only one dog to go through is simply that the second dog has already been beaten, i am not against or fore this rule, but thats is how it stands until such time as it may or may not be changed, everyone knows this when entering the Fed Champs, or should do.

I suppose this could go on forever, what happens if the 1st heat, one dog fell out of the traps & came second, only to get through to the final & the other dog fall out the traps? This wouldn't be fair on the dog that originally won - yeh it's nice to get a second bash at a title but in all fairness i think the dog that won the first time up should be the winner & go through to the final. Obviously some people don't think like this & thats why BWRA & NWRF have different rules to try & suit everyone.

A lot of dogs go slower on their 2nd run as do a lot go faster so to be fair on everyone the rules have got to stay as they are - this way racers have the best of both worlds.

Why have two bodies with the same rules? I was under the impression that NWRF were brought about to give racers an alternative to BWRA. No dig at anyone just my opinion!!

yeah your right there vicky what you said i never looked at it that way,ok let stick to what we got .

Yes john m everyone does know that only the winner goes through at the FED champs, i started this topic as a discussion , we have run at many opens where the first and second go through in the first heat only and have thoroughly enjoyed it, i was only thinking of the other dogs thAT DONT GET A SECOND RUN......

But i can see what you mean, i still think the first two should go through in the first heat only then on to the first through for the rest of the event.... :D

Our bitch 'Time' thinks 1st, 2nd and 3rd should go through to accommodate really, really bad trappers!!!

Karen :(

ON THE DAY WHEN YOUR BEAT YOUR BEAT. BUT IT IS NICE TO SEE YOUR DOG'S HAVE A NOTHER CHANCE. MORESO WHEN YOU HAVE DRIVEN A LONG WAY, AND ARE ONLY RUNING ONE DOG. ......SO IT HAS IT'S GOOD POINTS, AND BAD ONES.

Connors Lass agrees with Time but she would like to know if 4th can go through too just so she can run twice (I told her she was being selfish but she was having none of it). :D

Wasn,t getting at no one pat, just stating what was what, no offence meant and i hope none taken.

no offence taken chuck, :D let's get on with racing :p :Dlet's enjoy ourselves :p :) :D
