Scottish Championships

A big thanks to everyone who traveled to the first Scottish Championships.  I hope you enjoyed the event.  A Cook tells me that the council are putting a double gate at the bottom of the track this week so that they can be opened to increase the run off for longer distances.  For anyone who wasn't there all the dogs including the no limits stopped before the end over a 175 yard distance on the Saturday open.

About 42 in total which I think is not bad considering there were several events down south.  I hope next year the event is moved to the week before the Scottish Derby.  But I have to say in my opinion it was a sucess.

May i firstly say it was a pleasure attending this meeting as it always is in Scotland as the locals go out of their way to make every one welcome and put themselves out for the visitors, i would like to congratulate Danny with Demolition-Blue on gaining supreme once again and showing that his other wins were not a FLUKE! well done pal your dad would be proud of you also may i say a big thanks to all the people that expressed their concern over the attack on my bitch wilst walking on the beach she is doing fine and hopefully will make a full recovery also thanks to Arthur Cooke and his team for a well organized weekends racing with no complaints for a change  the track is a credit to the local council and whippet club as you can see on the photos thanks  again Steve and family
