Did anyone see this?

I am very scared of sharks having been a young child when Jaws came out  And after the man that dies in New Zealand last week.. this is scary too!

Tens of thousands of sharks have been spotted along South Florida's coast, closing down beaches across thearea and forcing swimmers out of the water.

The sharks are heading north after migrating to the south for the winter in such droves that experts believe swimmers could be within 60 feet of a shark while in the water in the Palm Beach area.

Several beaches have been closed to swimmers as red flags dot the sand.

Craig Pollock, a lifeguard superviser at Midtown Beach, told the Palm Beach Daily News that Tuesday was the the first day he has seen the sharks out in such massive numbers.

What a horrible thought!! Good job we dont get them here... although last summer someone was trying to film a great white shark in Cornish waters, and was "chumming" the area and using a special sonic device in the water to try to attract them. SUCH a good idea right in the tourist season, NOT!!

A few years ago we booked a boat trip to go and see/ swim with basking sharks around Mousehole and Lands end. We didnt see a single creature :( I was disappointed and relieved at the same time

Banana, you should see Soul Surfer, a film based on a true story of Bethany Hamilton who had her arm bitten off by a shark at 13 year old, and who was brave enough to overcome her fears and return as a champion surfer. A very inspirational lady :)

They're not scary, just misunderstood! lol

I prefer the more intelligent, dolphin myself.

Soul Surfer was a brilliant film!!

I absolutely love sharks... But at the same time, I wouldn't ever want to swim near one!!

And to think over the years I have spent an absolute fortune diving with sharks, made a very good living taking people diving with sharks and travelled to some of the most remote islands in the world to dive with sharks - even great whites and not in a cage. And yes I have been bitten, had a cookie cutter shark take a chunk out of my ankle out in Indonesia - left a cool perfectily circular scar.

Now floating pink toilet paper, nothing makes me swim faster, if the olympics allowed pink toilet paper to be dropped into the pools I could guarantee Britian a gold swimming medal at every olympics.
