Hello all. Time marches on and Moss(Saucy Madam) gets bigger and bigger. Two weeks and one day to go. The whelping box is ready, set up in the boiler room. The spaniels think its great, very comfortable. Moss, predictably, won't go near it. ( Any thoughts on how to make it more appealing? ) I'm out supporting the local hunt this morning... beautiful day for it. Best wishes and HNY,

ahhhhhh the bitch wont go near where you want her to have the pups? well your in a big club now.

Bitch's always seem to want to have them anyware but where you've got ready for them.

if the worst comes to the worst and you cant get her to accept your choosen spot, let her have them where she feels settled/safe then when she's finished move the pups to the place you have choosen and she will then settle there without any problems.

not much help realy. ;)

I usually whelp mine in a large plastic bed in the sitting room and then move them up to the spare room to the proper whelping box once she has had them all. Much easier because you have everything to hand and she is at ease because she is used to the bed being there
