Kaye just corrected me about this one on another list. He is in fact a lurcher, bigger than a saluki.

The distinctive-looking Dave has been spotted complete with collar at a travellers' camp in West Drayton nr Uxbridge Middx. The owner was informed, but when people went to get him back they found he had been moved. He could be anywhere, so please will people keep an eye open for him.

>Dave is back with his mum.........handed into a rescue after things got too hot for the thieves.

Which proves once more that when a dog goes missing you have to bombard the area with posters etc. Just make it too hard for the thieves to keep the dog.

I'll second that! A few years ago we were looking for a friend's blue bitch who had run off from my house. We smothered the area with pictures of her. I usually took my own blue bitch with me when searching so I could say "She looks a bit like this one" One day a lady rushed up to me demanding to know where I had got that dog because it looked just like the one in the posters. I could have hugged her!! Sapphy was found a few days later, having been missing for 11 days. (She is still safely with her owner and has just become a grandmother to 8 fat little blue slugs!)

The moral of this rambling story is don't give up!
