Saluki missing - Durham

>I am sorry to say that our black fringed red male went missing last night

from our back yard. I have notified the police, the dog warden, the pound

and all the local vets. We will be putting flyers up this afternoon. Please

can all UK people, especially any living in the NorthEast, just keep an eye

out for our Sam. I feel that he has been taken and someone somewhere might

just see him. He is microchipped so I can prove identity.

Feathered Saluki type coat

Black fringed red with black muzzle

White spots on chest. There is a black skin tag on chest and callous on

right elbow

New scar on right side - a sutured skin flap with the hair just growing

over it

Microchip number: 512098100000023

Height: 27&1/2 ins.

Age: 4&1/2 yrs

Wearing a broad brown (engraved) leather collar

Name is "Sam"

Stolen from: Bowburn, Durham on 9/2/03

Circumstance of loss: Sam was let out into our back yard after food at

about 5pm. We do not believe the back gate was open as we are always so

careful about keeping it closed. Some time later we discovered that the

gate was open and Sam had gone. We searched for him immediately - going

over all his usual walks and informing other dog walkers of his loss.
