My Colt has a little gooeyness in his eyes in the morning, ive been treating it with an eye ointment but the little mucusy bits are still in the corner of his eyes ?

what is this and how did he get it ?

john..with the ALL IRELAND CHAMPION and a snot eyed Colt :(

Has he been rootling around in long grass?? If so,i would suspect pollens causing the problem

Just what I ws thinking Debs :huggles:

bath them in cold tea John

There is a lot of conjunctivitis around just now caused by the pollen/long grass etc..Maxitrol or Chloramphenicol works well.

In the mornings its sortve thickened a bit but comes out easily enough, does that still tie in with your diagnosis ?

I tried the "cold tea" idea and that bloody monkey-dog tried to drink his eyes

How is he today??

i use Golden eye for the chemist for the horses when they r a bit gunky

Hebe has eye snot in one of her eyes most mornings. It's like grey jelly :x in the inner corner of just her right eye. It's not sore & she's not rubbing it so all I do is wipe it out with a bit of tissue. Sometimes Scrumpy beats me to it & licks Hebes eye & cleans it up for her
