Can someone tell me what the rules are regarding non-pedigree whippet racing. How old? Weight? What %whippet? Where and when? etc. Wilma and myself have a 6month old three quarter whippet one quarter bedlington bitch :) . Name's Polly, a lovely looking brindle. We live in Fife in Scotland. Because she's not 100% whippet does this mean we can't race her. Thanks.

I would think that you would be able to race her as a non ped whippet....percentage of whippet doesnt count at all (some of ours have staff and collie in from many years back).

I would get in touch with susan or john from the non ped forum who live in scotland and maybe they could give you details of youre local club, or even go to www.tell-me-1st.com who may have a list of scottish clubs.

Hi Stefan, I race at Kirkcaldy WRC in Fife. If you want you could come to the track at the Randolf Playing Fields. Its just at the top of St Claire Street behind The Top O The Toon Pub. We race on Saturday mornings about 11am. Aslong as your dog is short haired I think you could race it when it's done all it's passes. Hope to see you soon Susan :D

Hi there and thanks for the information. I know Kirkcaly well....I'm from there but now live in Inverkeithing. What are the passes?

Stefan

i think you may find that marilions great grand mother was 1/2 collie whippet so who knows?
