Just heard the news Sir Bobby lost his fight to cancer today.... out of pain at least.

Goodbye to a footballing legend...and a true gentleman. xxx RIP to a lovely man.

cant get hold of my dad he phoned just before i found out so he hadnt heard...he will be gutted

me neither Helen...poor man didnt look very well at the Charity Shield...I commented to the OH how ill he looked

my dad had the pleasure of playing against him years ago...in their youth..my dads around the same age and played for Crook Town

and I think Sir Bobby played for Langley Park

Robert met him at the airport janis and sat and chatted with him...said he was so nice and they had a right good chat

the poor man has been ill for so long but still made the effort to do what he normally did ...bless him
