Renting with a dog in exeter- where to search for rooms

Hi,

just wanted to ask for some advice. I am returning to my final year at University in Exeter in September, and I'd like to bring my dog with me. Does anyone have any ideas how and where to search for accomodation that allows dogs?

I've had a look at rightmove and a few other sites but they don't let you set "pets allowed" as a criteria.

If you are renting from an estate agent the tenancy agreements generally stipulate no pets without permission from landlord. You could try approaching a landlord / lettings agent and state your terms you are the customer after all.

For the record just because an agreement states no pets as long as you get the ok in writing - you will be fine.

I think it will depend on how much time the dog will be left on its own and what type of property - does it have a garden etc...
