Removal of lump to orfow

I am feeling really anxious. My 10 year old field spaniel bitch is having a general anaesthetic tomorrow to remove a lump that is subcutaneous. It is too deep to do a needle aspiration for biopsy without anaesthetising her so the whole thing might just as well come out. It is a very small lump that seems fixed. Someone tell me I am doing the right thing. Otherwise she is fit and well. I could do with some support.!!

Yes she has thank you, just waiting for the biopsy report but the vet said it came out easily and looks fatty rather than nasty, but won't know for sure til end of week. She assured me that whatever the outcome it was still worth doing the full op. she said that lumps that are obviously not just on the skin SHOULD NEVER BE IGNORED, but ideally no lump ever should.

Keep checking your dogs for lumps!
