If anyone gets the chance to look at a copy of Reader's Digest - October edition, there is a lovely article by Brian Sewell, journalist and broadcaster, about his Whippet bitch, Jack, who was rescued by The Mayhew Animal Home in London. In the article he describes her as the colour of milky coffee and there is a lovely photograph of them both together. It's a very touching article, especially the way he describes how she does things, but the bit that got to me was how he explains how right for her is the name Jack and how softly he can say it when she needs a cuddle.
