Well, I finally got round to cutting Raffy. He tried his best to escape the clippers but I got him in the end :- "

He looks like a spring lamb now & is soooo frisky, like a pup again :teehee:

Before-

Awww bless him, he looks soooooo cute

After-

His front legs are a bit "iffy" cos he won't let me do them with the clippers so I have to use scissors on them

And he was sulking so much by now that he wouldn't stand properly so his head looks all out of proportion.

All those lovely curls gone. (w00t) Still, I bet he feels lighter and cooler as a result.

Must finish Stan off....his grooming that is :- "

This is his safe retreat.

"I dare you to do anything else to me"

If I try to get him out of his basket he growls, but it's all bluff.

Ooo the lovely Raferty    , I saw a 14 week old Bedlington puppy at a show at the weekend I WANT ONE !!! :b

AAAhhhhh cute. We never saw Raffy when he was a little pup so dont have any cute puppy pics. He was about 5 months when we got him.

Since I clipped him, Scrumpy keeps going up to him & sniffing, she's not seen the baldy Raffy before & isnt quite sure about it :D

A word of WARNING though. If you get a bedlington life will never be the same (w00t)

He looks a real sweetie

A beddy is next on my list of doggie wants...just got to make the OH thinks its what he want too!!!!! (w00t)

What lovely pictures of the before and after Rafferty

What are Beddy's like? I've only ever seen them at shows and they've seemed quite sedate... :- "

What are they like?? How long have you got??

Don't know if Rafferty is typical of the breed but here goes!!

He's......

Brave as a lion ..........

or

Afraid of his own shadow

He's.......

A cute cuddly lap dog......

or

A fierce scary guard dog

He's......

Brilliant at agility in training...

but

Won't even consider performing at a show

He's.......

Agoraphobic....

or

An escapologist

He's......

Very clever when it suits him......

or

Cement for brains

All in all he's a lovable little dog with not much between his ears & quite a few problems, probably from being on the streets at 5 months.

He's known as our Special Needs Bedlington.

We love him to bits  but he drives me to distraction too.

Lovely before and after pictures

 awwww he sounds just like my friend's rescue standard poodle! He has cement for brains too, talks to himself, has legs too long for his body and is known locally as The Greater Spotted Cheese Hound....

I wonder who made that name up for him :- "

Rafferty is lovely. I like Beddies too , perhaps one day...... 8)

awww and very smart he looks too   even if more than a little unimpressed by the whole episode

lovely pics of before and after. good job .

he looks lovely with long or short fur, but it must be more comfotable with the short style, maybe his alternate personality comes out depending on his hairstyle
