Racing Pedigree Whippets

i have a question from oz.what makes a good pedigree racer ? i have a ped and a non-ped.the non ped is a top chaser,but the ped is a little suspect.i know all the stories about good breeding and rearing,and yes all dogs are individuals(some chase and race better than others)but in my experiance, the pedigree whippet is not as good as a racing propasition as the non-pedergree whippet.what do you people on K-9 think.let me know

Well, the pedigrees aren't as fast as the non-peds but most chase just as well.
