We would like to congratulate Joan and Mick Hemming's for winning with Saxon Gem I can bet nobody was more miffed than yourselves at her winning we also expected it to go the other way round with your other bitch (Saxon Tiger) taking her bend title. Also the Boyd's and RCH ( ) Time, they have never let her down and always given her a chance where others would have given up, she has proved more than her worth today. Oh and we'd like to tell Badger to remind Meg NOT to try and KISS HER ASS until the race is over
P.S SACK THE REPORTER !!! What have you missed off Jade ? Or is Connors Lass not worth a mention ?
WE were more than pleased with our bitches efforts, not only to finish runner-up (proving she isn't a one track dog) but she actually sprinted with the rest of the field up the first straight of the track (anyone you ask would tell you that before this season and the improvements to her weak muscle problems Connors Lass would be at least 5yds down before they were half way up the straight) FANTASTIC LITTLE KERRI WELL DONE BABY !!!
Well done to all of the winners and all who took part in a good days racing,it always makes me smile seeing the owners more nervous than the dogs,(Got the tee shirt in that myself). The picture of the day for me would have been one of Joan Hemmings Face when Saxon Gem went over the line, it had won by a good margin and Joan could not have believed what she and all had just seen. She would not believe it until the race results was announced. For once Joan you were in search of words and Mick who was his normal self was just walking the dog off the track as if he was on a Sunday stroll. Well done to you both. Mr Malcolm Clarke from Red mills put up some fine sponsorship and sacks of food for the winners and as per normal went out of his way to do so. A good days sport.
