Puppy can not run normally ,,,it waiting help !

my puppy is 5 wks ,his father stafordshire (england) his mother is (dalmatians)

i am not sure about this but its seem to me that he run hard ,Swaying "front hands"

i do not know if this is normal for it age ,but i worry about this plz any advices ,,

it's look like jumpping with his front hand,and run normally with his legs ??
ANY info can HELP ......i want to see it running like another puppies and to enjoy the first spring for it

at this point I wouldn't worry too much. he's still young. all puppies need to grow into their legs and staffies have broad chests so it's a little harder to start with. it's not unusual that their front legs move in a very round motion a bit like circles. they tend to look a bit bow legged when they are very young.

with my staffy cross springer spaniel she swayed and went slightly sideways when I got her at 8 weeks. she also bounced more then ran. she didn't grow into her legs and start walking straight until she was 3/4 months old.

remember your puppy is very young and won't be running and jumping around like older puppies you see on tv for a little while yet. give him time to grow into his body. think of him as a 1 year old. he's only just learning to walk and it will take him a while to find the best way to do it.

here she is approx. 6 weeks when I picked her. you can see she has very bow legs

this was taken when she was around 3/4 months. you can see she's started growing into her legs and they aren't as bow legged as they were a few months before.

you're welcome. once he has had his 2nd vaccination at around 9/10 weeks then he can go out with you even if he isn't walking straight yet. it's just his own style, it doesn't stop them going on walks. you just have to remember he's a baby and start with only 10/15min walk and then increase the length when he's older.

He is still very much a baby at 5 weeks. he shouldnt have really left his mum, its far too young .. If you are very concern take him to a vet and ask the vet to check his legs. You will be able to discuss vaccinations too, which is very important before you take him out anywhere other than your garden..well anywhere other dogs are around.

you are 100% right with every word u wrote,,,but in previous post i wrote that his mother bring 8 puppies and they "can not" to keep them their mother do not give good milk enough for all and i heard from the owner's son that his parents want to put him somewhere far enough (through)

this the only reason that i accepted to take him in this age ,,,i was today to vet he told me almust everything and gave me some vitamens but yet he did not accept to give him a vaccin until 2 weeks,,,,,

At 5 weeks I'd be amazed if he had the coordination to run properly- he's only been walking for 3 weeks and it all takes practice you know

If he's still got a problem in a couple of months then that will be the time to consider the cause and what else can be done to help him coordinate or to straighten leg bones or help joints be aligned better (whatever the problem turns out to be caused by) but he's still way too young for any of these things to be considered. He's still at the age when it's perfectly normal for the back legs to overtake the front, leading to them ending up in a big upside down heap.

As he's likely to have quite long legs when he grows up then he's likely to have rather baggy leg joints, tendons and ligaments until he's almost full grown size, meaning that you will need to exercise him carefully and not too hard during his growth, in order to prevent him from damaging his joints from running too hard or putting too much force through his bones and leg joints.
