Hi Peeps, I'm getting a puppy later this year , as its been a while since I had a lurcher pup can anyone advice me on feeding this whiper snaper when he arrives please! :( For the past many years Ive had Rotties and always come with a menu and also the bulk will be vastly different, Im concerned about the protein side of the feeding.. :(

I have a litter of lurcher pups here at the moment. They were weaned on raw food and that is what they eat now, at nearly 8 weeks old.

I have introduced them to a complete dry food (Burns Mini Bites) but they prefer the raw every time. They also have scrambled egg and steamed white fish too.

I find they eat as much as they need - I don't limit what I give them and they have as much goats milk as they want too

They get bonemeal mixed into their food and also have chicken wing tips, raw bones and tripe sticks to chew

Thanks very much, sounds rather scrummy! Ifeed raw tripe to my Rottie at mo with with a low protein complete, he also loves the tripe sticks, and raw eggs with shells mixed with natural yogart!

Another silly question "bonemeal" is it essential and what does it add to the diet?
