What a lovely garden and the tulips are certainly quite striking.

I was lazy this year and bought some ready grown ones a month or so back and popped them into some pots. They did really well. They never seem to do well if I plant the bulbs in the tradional way the autumn before.

I think the blue plant is a ceonathus...but I'm not certain.

You are right Nicola , or also called Californian Lilac, they come in different shades and sizes . I will have to trim that one back again when its finished flowering , but it always gives such a good show

Your garden always looks beautiful..... :thumbsup: I used to have a Ceanathus too...one in my old house

and planted one here...but it mysteriously died...must get round to planting another one...they are such a spectacular colour

over the summer.

Dont they just , but they close up and look like normal tulips when the sun goes in . I hope they come back next year

Are they parrot tulips, im impressed a lot better than the standard
