Pregnant Whippets And Liver

I thought that for a treat I would cook up some pigs liver to give my girl plenty of iron and vitamins and then I remembered that in humans they say don't eat too much as its not good. Is this true for dogs as well?

She's on puppy food at the moment as this was the vets recommendation and now she is in the last trimester is eating sooo much!!

firstly hope your bitch has a trouble free whelp :luck:

we have always given some poached liver very good for them like you said plenty of iron and vitamins .

we also feed Tuna ,pilchards , scrambled egg with grated cheese they love it )

Perhaps don't give too much liver in one feed as it can give them the runs. I found this out to my cost a few years back!
