Possibly the last hike of the season

It's colder now, and it gets dark early... Not good. So, we took a day off today for what might be the last long hike of the season.
Miles was extraordinary vocal in the car for some reason, to the point of me getting in the back seat to entertain him, just to stop the deafening wining and howling. Eventually he settled down, and transformed back from a complaining monster into a cute pup.
The cloudy day offered interesting views in the mountains, looking down on clouds.
