It's been 3 weeks since Poacher had her x-rays and started on her physiotherapy programme
I'm pleased to report that she had her first check-up tonight and Sandra, the vet, is over the moon with her progress. She is building muscle again and the stifle joint is far more stable although still more "wobbley" than a normal joint would be. The joint should regain total stability once it has strengthened, it just needs time  She is very impressed with Poacher's grit and determination and has said that she can now start going off lead again
I have to keep a careful watch that she continues to use the bad leg as that is the best way for her to recover so if she starts to hop then she has to go back on the lead
Her next check up is on 22nd December ............ hopefully it will be her last and that will be a great Christmas pressie
