Playtime

Since coming back from our holiday (with Dudley) he wants to play at nine o'clock at night.
He cries until one of us gives in. At nine we really want to just relax.
He gets two good walks a day and lots of playing from us during the day.
How do I reset his body clock?

That's how I felt about my two dogs. Back then I was on vacation with my family and the dogs. However, there was a time difference of 5 hours. Is that the case with you? With my two dogs everything went back to normal (about 3 weeks after we came from the holiday). Maybe your dog is not sufficiently exhausted and therefore can not fall asleep, even for me as a human being. Just play with him more, so that he falls exhausted into bed.

He is only a little dog. Yesterday we walked a total of six and a half miles. He went to sleep about seven then on the dot of nine he wanted playtime. He has two stuffed toys he likes us to throw.
Nothing else interests him.They are his obsession
No time difference perhaps it will change when the clocks go back
Out at ten for a wee and then bed. He then sleeps all night

Wow, sounds like having kids again! Could you start his playtime say 5 minutes earlier each evening over the course of several evenings in order to get playtime out of the way earlier?

Dennis quite often wants to play around this time of night. He goes and gets one of his squeaky toys and starts making a racket as we try and watch our tv programme

We humour him with a bit of play and then we say ‘right bed time now’ and he plonks himself on his bed in a huff!
