Photo Printers

Does anyone use a dedicated photo printer to print out their photos? And what is the difference between that and a laser/inkjet one? I'm wondering whether to get one but thought I'd pick people's brains on here before browsing the internet for reviews.

we have an epson (inkjet one i think) Photo R340

if you use the propper epson paper and the propper epson ink, the photos perfect, photo lab quality

only problem is the propper epson paper and the propper epson ink is very expensive

if you have a costco near you, you can upload them online and pic them up at the shop when ready, and if you order more than 100 (i think) they are only 6p each, i save mine up then print them all at once

not the same as printing there and then but far cheeper than doing it with our printer (thats if your printing of lots)
