My handsome,faithful,one in a lifetime,heart dog departed this day 5 years ago for the bridge.

As tribute to my beautiful companion I thought I would post a little something to his memory.

We have a secret you and I

that no one else shall know,

for who but I can see you lie

each night in fire glow?

And who but I can reach my hand

before we go to bed

and feel the living warmth of you

and touch your silken head?

And only I walk woodland paths

and see ahead of me

your lithe form racing with the wind

so well again and free

And only I can see you swim

in every brook I pass

and when I call,none but I

can see the bending grass

Awww,Linda,the words bought a tear to my eye.He was a fabulous looking dog,what a back on him.

I know how much you miss him.

What a lovely looking dog. Beautiful poem. Its nice to remember them from time to time, although i suspect if you are anything like me there is rarely a day goes by when you don't. Been 4 and half years since my beatiful baby left me and with three more having gone to join her this year, it doesn't get any easier, only looking at pics and remembering them does. xx
