Anyone know whose Whippet appeared in the "Dog Fashion Parade" on the Pets & Their Vets programme??

Thankfully it was not dressed up in any of those awful outfits  (why do people want to do that?? ) but had a couple of very bling collars on!! 8)

I am all for rugging Whippets etc up to keep them warm and dry but, please, why do people have to humiliate their dogs by dressing them up??? :b

Sorry, i didnt watch the above mentioned programme...but i totally agree with you on the whole dressing up mullarkey!!

Mine have nice snug coats, and i think thats fine, but i think its OTT when it comes to all other garments!

I watched a programme a while back about most spoilt dogs or something and there was an Iggy on it ...and boy , did i feel sorry for it!

The owners had nappies on it, all kinds of costumes, little trainers, etc etc! (w00t)

At the end of a day a dog is a dog and they like to do 'doggie' things! this poor chap wasnt allowed out on nice walks, sniffing and the like. He was carried around London in a baby carrier thingy! :( :(

Well, at first I was inclined to flippancy, and just wanted to say, maybe the owners were getting their own back at being got up in the night and having furniture etc chewed!! :D

But I apologise for my daft sense of humour!! I am with you on that one, I put a coat on my dogs when the weather's foul but watch the TV programmes with dressed-up dogs (that have their own wardrobes!!!! and more outfits than I myself have!!) and my jaw is resting on the floor.

I really couldn't say what goes thru people's minds to do this, but I do feel sorry for their dogs.

They just don't seem to be allowed to behave like dogs. It's a shame I think
