I have a friend with a very rabbit friendly garden in the country on the Essex/Suffolk border who would like her garden to become less rabbit friendly! If there is someone in the area who works their dogs (and/or ferrets) and fancies a day sorting out some unwanted rabbits in about a month's time then please pm me and let me know and I'll pass your details on. :)

This is a genuine enquiry.

Your a little late to ferret the rabbits now as there are too many young about.Your friend would have been better to have sorted them out over the winter. My advice would be to rabbit fence around the garden. It's the most effective way of controlling them in a garden.

hey mally when did they stop breeding cause they av never stopped up here lol

I never said anything about them stopping breeding if you read my post. I said there is too many young about now.

We never came across any young until early January and we were out 3-4 times a week in the s/yorks area. I stop ferreting when i start digging to nests of young as i find it much easier then to control the rabbits with the lamp and dog or rifle.
