Congrats on the result from your first show!

I have no real tips for stopping her being a wriggle-butt when the judge comes up to her other than let her be a puppy for now. If she's enjoying it and likes to be friendly with the judge well let her do that. They get jaded too early if they're made to be statues right from the beginning.

As you start to come up in class start training her on a table at home when you've got visitors. Let her meet them all first and do all her wriggle-bum stuff on the ground and then have a cuppa and when she has calmed down put her on the table and get the guest/s to come up and go over her. Don't let them coo and baby talk to her while she is on the table - just let them run their hands over her and tell her 'stand' or 'show' (whatever your command is going to be) and tell her no when she wriggles. Be persistent that's all you can do.

Good luck :luck:

 Well Done Teena and Lola........... it does get easier !

I go along with Lana, just let her enjoy showing while shes a baby the tuff stuff comes later

I agree, let puppies be puppies. I hate to see all these little automatons in the puppy classes but showing should be fun for the dogs whatever age they are. As long as they allow the judge to go over them they don't need to stand like statues.

Personally, I think the most important bit is to train your puppy to free stand at the end of your individual moving bit. That will tell a judge much more about the dog than seeing it stacked/handled ever will

I agree with that totally, Rebel, who is a little devil in the ring, stood better when i didnt stack him, after movement he stood so much better naturally, than if i tried to fiddle with stacking him. This seems to be helping his confidence as well!

thanks for all the advice guys we will keep trying and have some fun as well :huggles:
