Orkney Islands

Thought I'd start doing some early research for next year's holiday location! Having visited most regions of Scotland, including the Western Isles, we thought it was about time we took a look at Orkney but there are so many islands to choose from. :blink: I was just wondering if anyone has been and if so, do you have any recommendations. We will have the whippets with us and they have put in a request for some nice sandy beaches to run about on. :- "
