All the puppies are putting in the best amount of weight possible especially Doris (THE FATTY!) Olive is feeding well and we are weaning them tonight. They now love to play and olive also plays with th em! They are having a doggie visitor this weekend (Stanley the Border Terrier) our friend is bringing him round, it will be exiting! then at about 6 weeks were inviting other dogs over like my other friends Labrador (Honey) and a Springer Spaniel (Bella). as socialising them early is great and is very beneficial to them as they develop. all their eyes are open and they can also here everything! We would like to have them vaccinated as soon as possible can we vaccinate them at 6-8 weeks? What age can they actually eat 'normal food'? They also have very sharp claws how do you cut them? (not dew claws nails)
*ALL THE DOGS ARE FULLY VACCINATED AND ALL HEALTHY!!!!

Strange post!
You say that you are weaning your puppies tonight (yesterday) ! how old are they ?
You have since asked when can they have they have their vaccinations, and then when can they have "normal" food !!
You are introducing dogs to your very young puppies that are not vaccinated , and you ask when can their dew claws be cut !!!
Not long ago you said that you had worked as a vet!!

I know its our friends dog that has been vaccinated fully! they are 3 and a half weeks old... I have a diary and I'm logging when they can do things like eat normal puppy food not soaked. and yes I'm asking because I'm also wanting info I did work as a vet but I worked 5 years ago I now work in a office job! yes I asked about dew claws because I was told they needed there dew claws cut but I haven't done it because I don't want to as they cant be shown!

You said about cutting their dew claws
I don't want to as they cant be shown!

But I don't think that they could be shown if you dont know their pedigree
. i rescued olive (mini schnauzer) from Spain little did I know she would come pregnant and now I have a litter on my hands 4 little ones...

i know about the pedigree. actually I asked about cutting their claws i.e. there nails...

I know you mean their nails/claws. But whether you do or don't cut them you couldn't show them if their parentage is unclear.

they are really sharp... I know I can show them

Trimming your puppies claws can be done from a very young age, it just takes the very sharp hooks from the tip of the claw and stops the nail from scratching mum's delicate boobies.
The total removal of the dew claw should be done before the puppies eyes have opened and is very different to clipping/trimming claws. It is much too late now to remove the dew claws.
As someone who has worked as a vet Violet, you should know this.

Great day today! The puppies got on so well with Stanley (Border Terroir)! Stanley is a calm well behaved dog and he was more interested in Olive than playing with the pups. :)

The puppies are becoming more playful and getting more of a personality, Also the pups are learning to use the puppy pads for the toilet which is very very good as I won’t have wee or poo stained carpet… also they are getting schnauzer features super cute! Also the puppies are enjoying the puppy weaning food now because I’ve started using goat’s milk instead of just water (Or so I think). But I think they will become more sociable in the next week or two…

we all just want to annoy mum :)

What happened to the dark streaks in Olive's moustache?
what? I'm very confused ... my avatar is when she was first home... I have cut her since and she now has a rounded beard
