Here's a nice one of an early whippet from around 1930's this dog only weighed 15lb, her father was a rough coated whippet who measured 21" & weighed 21lb :blink:
Whilst looking at these pics i found an article on a dog called Nelly from Leigh (we live 2 mins from Leigh - yay leigh is famous) he got shipped to America to try & beat Millhill Truck O'Drum whose time was 11.2 secs over 200yds. It goes on to say Nelly was renamed Sidlaw Sloe Eyes and on arrival set a new track record of 11 secs, he went on to beat Millhill Truck O'Drum twice more in 1924.
