Today we are celebrating Fillie's 13 year 11 months old - we are now celebrating monthly -

she is getting along sorta well though she totters around more and sleeps more - in the

past 3 months she has developed flat feet and her gait is sorta jilted when she moves

at more than a slow walk - she still is able to jump up on the couch and chairs and will

jump down as well though she has to think about that for awhile - we no longer let her

go outside with the young rowdy ones - she doesnt see well enough to get out of the way

since they dont go around anything - she has very selective hearing - her recall is almost

non-existent - clapping seems to help get her attention - she always hears the food bowl

being filled though - we let her carry a little extra weight going into the cold months and

her coat is unusually heavy this year - her head is almost totally white and is graying

down her back and rump now - she is a grand ol lady but her authority has passed on

to younger ones now - she still will bark at a something or nothing when she goes out

the door first thing to see if something moves or rustles the leaves on the ground -

may she have some more months to celebrate -

What a great idea to give her twelve birthdays a year  She sounds lovely and is obviously very precious to you. Enjoy each and every day, and may she be well and happy right to the end :luck:

BTW I frequently have to clap to get Grace's attention, and she is only 3! :D

She may totter for ages, some do. Sounds like you are taking good care of your little oldy. Long may she totter. :huggles:
