This is to do with the upcoming International Whippet congress. A friend of mine is researching whippets imported into Australia & is seeking information on

O for Oyster who she believes came to Australia in the 1940's.

She wants to know who the breeder was & its pedigree. Can anyone help please?

Linda

I'm sure someone knows! I told my friend you would be able to help. Please, or if you don't know then please tell me that so I'll stop wondering why you're reading but not replying. In case you're wondering why she wants to know it's because there will be a talk at the congress on imported whippets. But it will only be as good as the information she can get.

Thanks in advance.

Linda

Have read your post Linda, but know nothing about this dog. Sorry. Where did your friend get the name from, in what context.

Do you know which country it was imported from ?

Oh for Oyster - Female - dob 29/3/1948 -

Pilot Officer Prune x Springmere Spanish Rose - Breeder Mr CH Bryans

Exported ped applied for Dec' 1948 Australia

I've emailed you with the pedigree as I have it so far.

Let's see if the ped will come out on here. Any strange numbers are the relevent Kennel Gazette no's (BRS today) that I've got the info from.

The colours are set to show repeated ancestors btw 'cause I find that more interesting than red bits for champions.

Can you check it for me Judy please to make sure that it's okay.

:D Ahhhh, registered in 1948 - thats why I didn't have her. I've still got 1946 - 49 to enter in my database :sweating: Thanks for that one Barbara :huggles:

The pedigree looks fine to me -

Bewdy, this is brilliant!!!! I'm sure this will be enough info for her. Thanks very much Beejay & thanks Judy for checking it too. :D :)
