North West Whippet Events

New member to the forum, just wanted to know if anyone knows if there are any whippet/lurcher events/shows in the north west. Have two 1year old whippets and would like to take them to a show. Thanks Amy

hi, welcome to the forum

for lurcher shows you might want to try the lurcher or working whippet section.

I think your closest breed club would be the Northern Counties Whippet Club, I thought they had a website but cannot seem to find it now.

all KC shows can be found on their site http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/dogshowing (at the bottom of the list Show Diary)

you can also try the Fosse Data site http://fossedata.com/, just look through the schedules to see the location and how close it is to you.

you might also want to try ringcraft if you haven't had any ''show'' training before.

If you have a look under the lurcher section there is a list of lurcher shows. I think Shugborough game fair is in february. Hope this helps.

there westhoughton whippet and dog racing club and also A & T miners club for strate racing have a look in he club section both will make you very welcome what ever type of dog you have

There's trialling this Saturday night at Westhoughton Greyhound Stadium from about 6:45pm.

Your welcome to come along and meet us all. If you want to bring your dog as well, by all means but ensure you have a secure fitting collar as it doesn't take long before they get excited and are trying to chase!!
