This is my story.
Yesterday 15th April 2011 I celebrated my 60th Birthday. Whippet racing has been part of my life now for 42years.
Yes I was 18years old when I watched my first handicap race at Bigges Main. I went on to enjoy whippet racing between the
Rising Sun and Bigges Main for what seems to have been a life time. I have had two Whippets and I did enjoy running them, but now have a beautiful Border Collie.
I prefer to watch the racing now but that does not stop me loving the sport. I have always been a club person, I dont need to travel the country to enjoy myself.
I have made many friends over the years and am pleased to say I am still meeting new people who are as keen as I was when
I first started. I hope to go on for many years to come.
