Congratulations! Tigger is very handsome.

Very nice photosite, by the way. Interesting to see the Scottish dachshunds - they certainly look different from what I'm used to here in Norway :- "

Thanks for posting Tigger's photo, it is the same one as in the bienniel. Interesting to read the comment on Scottish dachshunds, I have seen photos of Scandinavian and other continental Dachshunds and they look quite a bit longer in the leg, more functional , I would imagine. Do they have to obtain a working Certificate to be a champion in your country?

Well, I am not sure exactly what the requirements are, but they need some kind of working merits to be a champion. I do not have any personal experience with the breed, but they are quite popular in some parts of Norway, both as workers (in particular the wirehairs) and companions (in particular the longhair miniatures).

I am probably sticking my head out here, but yes, I do think some of the Dachshunds on that website look like caricatures of the breed

Another reason they might need to be longer in leg is because of the snow... I have seen some longhair miniatures in deep snow, and they are struggling enough as it is ;)
