Hello!!!

I just collected my new (and first ever) whippet puppy this weekend!!!!!!!! She is called Pixie and 8 weeks old. She is an absolute joy!

I wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone who has posted about whippets on this site as I read many of the entries before getting Pixie, and they were very helpful! If anyone has any further advice I'd love to hear from you!!!

Hello!!

Well, her daddy is a posh crufts qualifier called doddridge royal doulton, and her mum is an unregistered pet whippet called moolie. I shall get some pics up this eve hopefully! I have found that a 'laptop' is not so compatible with a whippet... it is now a 'chair arm top' as the lap seems to be reserved for Pixie. I also have the added problem that she likes to give the keys the odd bash, which sends me off onto all sorts of links etc! I think I shall wait until she is having one of her epic naps

As everyone says - one is never enough, and the number of snuggy beds with snoozing whippets just seem to multiply (w00t) as if by magic!

Thanks everyone! She is a cutie but growing soooo fast!!! My cat is not so impressed, but I think she will come round eventually. Off for our first trip to the vets tomorrow for injections... poor Pixie! :unsure:
