Well done to my two mates Master Tornado for winning thr Yearling Dog Final and especially to dear Violet Rose for being the Bitch Yearling finalisrt AND SUPREME
Yearling. What some good running from you both considering what the competition must have been with dogs up to 2 years old
Thankyou for saying I ran very well on Monday, Mum was getting angry with me she kept saying I was too thin (I weighed 27lb 13oz ... what's the problem with that I thought we Whippets were meant to be skinny). I got fed lots and lots of food since Saturday, up to 3 times the amount of normal every day and Mum still wasn't happy, she said I was meant to put on at least half a pound not 4 silly ounces. Anyway she got her way and I go to the track and had my third breakfast then weighed in and just over 28lb and a quarter Mum was happy as she said there might be a few left hand runners in the 28lb class and she didn't want me to get stuck behind them because I would get upset (and I would as I like winning races). I had a good time in the final with you and Megan's Pearl (she said she was a bit scared of racing with us as she is only 12 and a half months old) I was going to catch you all at one point but you were too fast for me and ran away again.
I wonder if I will see your bottom again soon (are you going to Scotland on the 27th of June Mum said I am and she said I can race as a Yearling too as I will be 17mths old by then). I have never been to Scotland ... is it scary ?
It was a photo finish between Jorja Fox and Whinny Skippet in the 28lb Yearling Bitch heat, the eventual outcome after consulting the line camera was a win for Whinny Skippet who then went on to race Megan's Pearl for the class.
Ive got to say im proud of the way my daughter's dog ran this weekend Guess When as he only started Schooling in April. He ran very well in both adult's and yearling's. He is only just over 13month's old.
Well done to every winner at both Nwrf and Yearling champ's.
