Hello there

We are counting down the hours to Sunday when we go to collect our beautiful blue whippet pup (11 weeks on Tuesday).

We already have a wonderful lurcher "Oscar" who is about 9 years old (rescue dog so can not be too sure) who we have had for just over 7 years.

Just wondered if anyone had any tips on how best to introduce them.

We have just introduced a 7 week old whippet pup in to a houes of 5 greyhounds a lurcher and a whippet 3 of the greyhounds are 8 and one is a bad temperd grumpy sod and so fare everything is fine infact there playing with her but if she gets nauty with them i do let them tell her off.

Just make sure Oscar has time away from the pup a houes kennl is a god send it means when you carnt be supervising and when oscar needs a break there is somewere safe for the pup to go.

He is a little boy - originally were looking for a girl but was love at first sight Im afraid.

He is a beautiful blue with four white feet and a little white tip to his tail - wanted to call him Bo but may have to rethink after doing some reading up where they say that the puppies name should be a longer word as not to confuse them with commands such as 'sit' or 'no!' - but I still like Bo!!

Thanks for all of the advise - I am going out this afternoon to get all my bits and bobs. Think that I am going to get a new bed for Oscar too, so that he does not feel left out with all the new additions.

Will let you all know how we get on tomorow.
