I know that these are not quite whippet puppies but they nearly count!! They are from our blue merle border collie, emma and our pedigree whipppet, flint. She gave birth to 9 little balls of fluff, (w00t) and as these are my first babies I think they are extremely cute................but then I'm biased. :D These pics were taken a couple of days after they were born, haven't got round to doing any more yet. They have just opened their eyes and have covered themselves in weetabix for the first time

Aww too cute - I've seen enough puppies now - broody !!!

I want some :(

They're going to be fantastic colours when they grow up

Your time will come :D lol Have just seen pics of kerri and she looks like she will be a fab mum. It was a really great thing to see the puppies born, the kids were watching too................which considering they are lads and aged 12 and 15, their questions were definitely interesting  :luck: for your birthing day............wonder if there is such a thing as a birthing pool for dogs :clown:

So pleased to see your pups - adorable. I am particularly interested as my ex racing whippet does flyball and is booked to mate a blue merle collie. We hope to get the whippet speed and the collie stamina for flyball. Have you tried flyball with your dogs? Its a fine sport. Jed my whippet is faster than the collies but wears out very quickly whereas the collies keep going. Hence the future mating.

Competitions are very exciting and as its a team event its such a bonus when your team comes in the finals. We, the Hampshire Harriers were 3rd out of 24 teams last year and we were all so delighted with our dogs.

Racing is also great and I race my little 16lb dog in the opens. Good luck to you for the future with your dogs

I think you're right abut her being a great Mum - just caught this shot of her and Talli, they have not been posed I just turned to find them like this  .

I havent heard of flyball, are there any websites about it? Had thought of doing agility with the pup we are going to keep, but it seemed a bit tame after racing  It sounds as if flyball might be fun tho :D Emma our collie is quite fast.........but so clever and intelligent it does put the others to shame..........altho they are still quicker at nicking my toast off the kitchen tops :b

Oo I love the merles!! Keep us updated with piks! Good flyball link here

http://www.flyball.org.uk/ I was interested in trying my lot at it.

Thanks, I'll try the links :D The pups are now 2 and a half weeks and I know you cant tell yet but I'm sure some of the merles have blue eyes the same as emma. I know i'm biased cos i think they are cute but it's really nice when other K9'ers care too :D

Lovely, I like the merles too.

What price is on the pups,Especialy the Merle's " Billy"

Pups going for £120, have been given free range of kitchen and it's mayhem :D Will soon be going outside and having taste of cold floors  One of the bigger lads growled this morning, the others looked shocked lol (w00t) Will have more up to date pics soon.

WOT U MEAN NOT QUIET WHIPPETS IF THEY SHAPED LIKE WHIPPETS THEY CAN RACE LOL

Dunno if you can have shaggy whippets (w00t) but they certainly have the shape..............if they are a half whippet does that make them one. ............or do they have to have greyhound in too  .......or is that a lurcher....... i've confused myself :( At least they will fit in a whippet trap.........................perhaps not to run the bands tho lmao

The puppies are 4 weeks now and I hope no-one minds me giving an update :D They are so great................they all have little characters of their own..........it keeps me entertained for hours :b

Updated pics as follows.........mind you they wouldnt keep still so I'm no david bailey!
