Hi guys! I have a 1-year-old doggo that became very stubborn while on her daily walk. She is in good health and looks forward to going outside but she doesn't like going for walks during the rainy season and it's rainy season where I am now. Do you guys have any shoes recommendations? Or any advice how I can make her walk even if it's wet ground. Thank you!!

Drive a short distance from the house, then walk her home. If she stops, just stand there and ignore her, no eye contact, no words, nothing. When she decides to move again, still no words etc. just continue going home. Then leave her at home and go and get the car by yourself unless she shows signs of wanting to go with you, in which case let her. This isn't for ever, just to get her used to going out in all weathers.

maybe she's not already been done walking on wetlands. Or she's just walking on wetlands for the first time, I guess.

Hi...one thing to consider...maybe it is not so much about walking on wet? I thought we had this kind of issue with one of my past dogs, but it turned out to be the traffic sounds (wet tires) that was louder when the roads were wet that caused the concern with our dog. Dogs hearing is so much better than ours, and many things will sound different during wet weather even for us...never mind adding the smells as well.
Although my comment does not help to solve anything, maybe it is something you could consider to take into account as it may change the approach you need to take?

Thank you for this. Were you able to modify your dogs behavior? Or you just let it be?

She learned to live with it, but once we realized the issue, we also modified our approach and avoided the walking on the pavements or kept away from the road side walking during wet weather or we picked quieter traffic times. Forest and fields were never the issue and I suspect the general excitement for the dog of what was to be found in those areas made the difference as well. Who bothers about wet and windy weather if there is something to find and hunt! :D

This weekend, we are going to my mom's province so I get to try walking her to a quieter place!
