Moving house

Oh my word - I have been helping a friend move today and I am exhausted and we haven't finished yet!! *sob*

Still - its good to help a friend in need!

Reminded me how crap it is moving though :lol:

so true i hate it. when i moved to scotland i wasnt paying over a 1000 pound so hired vans did.myself did it for 400 but man was i knackeredtwo runs in 48 hours and shifted all the gear myself never again never.y

I moved last year.

Me, my step dad and a mate. My gf was at work.

Dropped the dog round moms and off we went.

No stress was easy enough.

Until the gf gets in.

'That goes there, this doesn't live here' etc

I reckon it's the women who make it stressful

I'm leaving here in a box. I've got a partially paralysed arm, a collapsing spine and at the moment my 'good' shoulder has a rotator cuff problem meaning that I can't lift either arm up. My chances of moving even a couple of sticks of furniture is minuscule, and I can't afford to pay someone else to do it so I'll have to stay put.

Good on you for helping out- I'm the person who hangs around at one end to save locking the house repeatedly and plies box movers with sarnies and cups of tea.

And I mind animals very well too

hehe - it all went pretty well.. he is doing the house up (I negotiated the deal and got it for a steal!) So he bought himself a HOOGE container and most of his stuff is there and he burned mostly everything else...

I am going with him to choose a new 3 piece suite today!!!

Good on you for doing it, we are hoping to move to somewhere a bit more peaceful, but have to wait on a list as we are in social housing at the mo, nightmare
