Hi,
My BC pup Cleo will be 8 months old on Christmas Day! She’s doing amazing, and has definitely calmed down a lot from when she was younger. I see a huge difference in her which is great. She had a dip at about 6 months old and wouldn’t listen to a word I said hahah but we’ve kept consistent and she’s getting a lot better.
However her puppy mouthing is still an issue at times. It used to be so so bad when she was younger as to be expected of a pup but then got a stage where it was a lot less and thought that stage was over. She still mouths our hands and can be quite full on with it. It’s like she gets so excited and can’t contain herself. I would have thought at this age is would be stopping but am I wrong?
Even during short training sessions everyday to keep her mind active, she’s always opening her mouth to try mouth for no reason. It’s like she’s too impatient or something. I keep them short and sweet to avoid it but she starts off doing it. Or I’ll be sitting and she’ll just come up and start going for my hands. She gets 2/3 walks everyday and we give her mental stimulation games to keep her mind active and she gets plenty sleep also. So I’m unsure why she’s still biting and mouthing.
Any tips would be great
