Aww....just gorgeous !! I have piggies too , they are lovely pets !! :D

how cute. can guinea pigs livewith rabbits? we have cinderella the bunny and would like to get her a friend, but have been told we should have done this when we got her as she would now fight if we introduced a new bunny. but maybe a guinea pig would be an idea xx

It depends on the size and temperment of the rabbit, but Rabbits can injure Guineas quite severly with a good kick.

I think a lot of pet shops are happy to sell rabbits with guinea pigs (they look cute together), but I don't think it is very fair to the guinea pigs. I have read a few guinea pig books and they all say they should be kept with their own species. They talk a different language, rabbits can be aggressive and can kick out with their back legs and damage the g. pig, and I think rabbits will sometimes wee over the guinea pig too. Plus their food needs are slightly different.

Could you not have a rescue castrated male with Cinderella - often rescue places will let you have a trial to see if they get on OK. In the past I have kept neutered rabbits (a male with a female) together with no problems. Usually same sex rabbits will fight if not introduced while still babies.

Good luck with finding a friend for Cinderella. :huggles:

Janis, she is such a little sweetie - overdose of cuteness.

She's such a dinky little girl

Ive kept both guinea pigs and rabbits ...but usually not together...seperately...

I did once have a guinea pig baby and a baby rabbit together from day one...but the dutch baby when he became mature started to attack and bite the guinea pig.

Luckily we noticed in time and seperated them without any harm done... :luck: :luck:

At the farm where we work we have some floor pens and in a couple of them we have colonies of guinea pigs and a couple of dwarf rabbits...who all get along fine.

From my personal experience though Id prefer to keep rabbits with rabbits and guineas with guineas... :huggles: but Im sure it has worked for some...and its much better than being alone if they do get along. :huggles:
