Monster Whippet

Gullet and I went to visit some whippety friends this afternoon. She and Fritz made a few laps in their yard.

Then, all of a sudden a rather large and clumsy whippet came to join them.

Lucas is a fourteen-week old Great Dane puppy. Gullet found him a little rough, but eventually they figured each other out.

Yup! And 22 kgs (approx 48 pounds)... The owners had several in the past, even before they got into whippets. Such magnificent, gentle giants, and they seem to get along really well with the whippets, too.

I used to show a black Great Dane in Junior Handling, she was lovely and if you sat down on a chair she would back up and sit on your knee.
