Whilst staying with friends of ours, Renoir (Rushden Impressionist) escaped when a workman left a gate open. This happened yesterday afternoon, 10th Nov, in the Lurgan area. He was last spotted in the Dollingstown vicinity. All the relevant authorities have been contacted, and we have searched relentlessly to no avail. If anyone on here from NI hears of a whippet being found anywhere, please let us know.

sorry to hear this ... suggest you post a photo and get the news out to as many sites as possible (dogslost, www.irishanimals.ie, etc) and local media, vets, etc. (don't think they come under the name of "authorities"). I do hope Renoir returns safe and well.

 Oh No! Im sorry to read this Janet. I hope you find Renoir very soon. :luck: :luck:

I don't see Renoir listed at http://www.lostandfound.ie/

I'm leaving that to Dukie and Louie Joe as I don't know what phone no and email they want to give as a contact, also there is a facility to attach a photo.

I know they are fly-posting in the area, and I hope someone does spot Renoir and that he's okay.

Unfortunately a lot of people try to run after dogs rather than trying to entice the dogs to come to them.

Hi Janet

I'm from sydney, hope you beloved whippet is returned asap

wishing you well margot :) :luck: :luck: :luck:

Bit of an update, Renoir has been spotted twice in the same place on the last two mornings. Tracy went out this afternoon, but he'd just vanished, and we took lamps tonight and scoured the fields. He is in an area about two miles from where he escaped, but no amount of calling would tempt him to show himself! So Tracy is going back first thing tomorrow morning, there will be an article in the local paper to generate more publicity, so hopefully we'll manage to get him home soon.

HE'S BACK HOME!!!!!!!

Don't know the full story yet, only that Tracy picked him up this morning. safe, well and a little bit thin!!

Thanks to everyone who posted, pm'd and phoned, it's been a horrible week and your support has been very much appreciated.

Will get more details when I know more.

Janet
