we are offering £300 reward for information leading to safe return of a black white and grey lurcher 1yr old she is wearing a brown studded collar unfortunately she is not microchipped or neutered. She is a very much loved family pet and never ever went out alone. She is booked in at the vets to be neutered next month as she has only just finished her first season she was to be chipped then.

she was last seen on 24th august at 6pm on shackerley road Tyldesley.

She has gone from a fenced in front garden she has just vanished in a couple of minutes.

We are desperately looking.

Thanks all for your kind words we will keep our fingers crossed and hope we can find her soon

I met the owner tonight as he come along to the Ginpit to ask if we'd heard anything, he also told me that a whippet has been stolen in the area too. :(

A few details I felt might be helpful to mention that are not apparent on her photo. The owner told me she's quite tall and although the photo does seem to give her a collie-like appearance he told me she's more of a deerhound type shape. He also mentioned she's visibly quite muscular. Poor owner is beside himself, he had an elderly dog that passed away in december last year and his mum persuaded him to get another dog to help him with his heartache. He's only had her a few months (hence only the one photo) but loved her dearly.

Wishing you the best of luck with finding her :luck:

Yeah he's been going in every day and he's careful to view the dogs rather than take their word for it.

Hi all i went along to gin pit with owner too im the scruffy woman! we are acting on the owners behalf as hes no computer.

Star was originally from us, we are a small animal charity. She was rescued at christmas literally on deaths door. That poor dog has been to hell and back lets hope for her sake and the owners too we find her safe and sound.

Thanks to everyone who has offered help and advice we are really grateful.

I'm so sorry to read about Star, poor little soul has already had more than enough trauma in her life.

I know you have probably done these, but I have put all I can think of down.

Register with Doglost, Petsearch and all the other lost dog sites.

Let dog warden know,

Notify police AND check back.. some stations have seperate books for dogs handed in and dogs found and retained by finder.

Local radio in your area will put out info.

Check with police and council that Star hasn't been involved in a fatal RTA

Let all local vets know.

Spread out from your area - I have known of people finding dogs - especially at night - to take the dog to THEIR local police station.

I'm glad to see that you are doing a physical check at Leigh cats and dogs, there have been problems there in the past.

Posters - loads everywhere, especially where dog food is sold, vets and round schools

Dogs don't respect boundaries - spread the word.

Good luck, poor Star deserves happiness in her life.

Think I have seen Star listed on doglost but do check traveller sites (with backup) as she could easily have been nicked and all the local horse fairs etc too + put up posters & contact local radio as previously suggested.
